The cruel prince, a cruel review (spoiler free review and discussion)

So, this is obviously not going to be that cruel of a review, I just wanted to use this title. Today we are spoiler free reviewing "The cruel prince" by Holly Black and we will also discuss it. So as usual I will start with a spoiler free review and then  I'll warn you when the discussion will start so the non spoiler people can click off and the people that read this book can keep reading. I have a lot of things to say about this book so let's start.  This book came out last year and it took me a while to decide that I actually wanted to try and read it, this is a dark fantasy, I've never tried so many dark fantasy this was so hyped that I wanted to give it a shot. I gave it 3.5 stars, it was pretty good, I was entertained and interested by the plot but it has many issues and things that I didn't like. This book follows the story of Jude a girl that had to witness the death of her parents murdered by a faery that will then kidnap her and her ...

A creepy but eye opening book: Unwind.

Since Halloween is on it's way I've started to think about some books that I found creepy that I think you would like to read on Halloween and this came to my mind right away. I've started reading this book the day before my exams because I was so stressed and I didn't want to think about them anymore.  This book is creepy. It's so well thought, in my opinion the author is a genius, this book is basically about parents being able to decide to "Unwound" their kids when they are in the age between 13 and 18, they go to the harvest camp where they get "cut into little pieces" and the parts of their bodies will be reused by people who needed them, for example a person that lost an arm could find another arm from an Unwind.  Our main character is called Connor and he has been Unwound by his parents at the age of 16 years old because he was always starting fights at school and his grades were bad, he finds out that he was going to be Unwoun...

My new book and where have I been all this time.

I know, it's been a while since you've heard me or someone else talk about this blog. I've had many things going on in my life, I just turned 19 in June, with this so many things happened. I graduated high school, that was the most exiting thing yet the saddest of my life, as expected after the exams I've never heard anything from my classmates, that was something I knew it was going to happen but I really hoped it didn't. In Italy we have graduation exams (if you're interested on knowing more about school in Italy read this article) , if you don't pass them you can't graduate, and I had my last one on July, after that I had to start studying for my medical school admission test, which... I din't pass. In Italy there are 68.000 people trying for just 10.000 spots, and I failed it.  I had a lot of thinking to do, like what am I supposed to do with my life now? I figured that I want to become a doctor, I really want this, so I'll ...
